Cassia Reyes is a quintessential female hero. She takes risks to protect the ones she loves, and she follows SOME rules (for the time being) for the same reason. She sacrifices a life of comfort and possible content to find and try to save the one she loves. Her courage and bravery grow throughout her experiences in the story, as do her compassion and will, and want for justice. She also sacrifices being with her family to keep them safe and to try to keep others safe, including herself and even her sanity.
