Abran Reyes, Cassia and Bram's father is another example of a great Mentor. He may be "flawed" by the Society's definition, but he is an amazing person. He is always encouraging Cassia to be strong and believe morally right things. He tries to protect her and fill her with the knowledge that will help her be successful in her life, no matter what she does. He helps her on her journey; he is actually the one that makes the most important journey possible.

My father has always broken the rules for those he loves, just as my mother has always kept them for the same reason. Perhaps that is yet another reason why they make a perfect Match.I can trust in my parents' love. And it strikes me that that is a big thing to have had, no matter what else happens.
